Embolada

Embolada is one more proof that there's nothing new under the Sun. Also known by a couple of other names ( Ask Wikipedia, here and here ), it looks strikingly similar to rap battles, even though it preceded rap battles by several decades. It's traditionally part of Northeastern culture, however, it's famous enough to be either mentioned or performed almost every time the subject of Northeastern tradicional music comes up in a discussion elsewhere in the country.

But enough talk already: let's listen to the embolada!
